Who are we?

We are the 666 Eternal Shadows!

Our VG is located on Infinity server.

We are a VG composed of people who try to get along with each other and help each other out to further our goals.

If you think you are good enough to be a member of the 666 Eternal Shadows, you can apply for membership by sending an in-game e-mail to CyberWoLfman when you're logged into Infinity server and state when's a good time and date to find you on.

Promotions are now being given at 20K, 100K, and 250K Prestige levels.

Currently, everybody in the VG can invite people to it.  If you find somebody that plays well with others, and, preferably, plays often, you can invite them.

Would you like to do a strike force or Respec trial?  Ask others in the VG and in Coalition if they'd like to do something like that or send an in-game e-mail to CyberWoLfman and state which, along with what date and time would be good for you, and we can try to get something together.  If you ask at least a few days in advance, we can try to plan something, and post announcements for it.

Need help with something?  Ask another member of the 666 Eternal Shadows, use Coalition chat, or try one of the global channels like help (goes to all servers, both games), Help (is just for Infinity server, both games), or a channel such as Inf Badge Seeker or Infinity Badges.  If all else fails, try sending an in-game e-mail to CyberWoLfman for advice or help.  Response times vary, but, you should get a reply within a day or as long as three days from when you send it.  If I'm not playing that character, I may be playing another in the VG, since I'm in the game for several hours every day.  If I'm not in the game, I'm usually either asleep, or in This Is It.

If the servers are down and you're bored, you're welcome to visit ThisIsIt, a 3D world, that's running most of the day and night (when the Internet provider is giving people the service they're paying for).  In it, you can play games like trivia and chess, visit the Vidfeed Pavilion with live feeds from all over the world, listen to streaming music and party in an underground bar, walk through a picture gallery, relax in a beautiful park, visit a castle, learn interesting things at the Knowledge Infusion Enhancment Matrix as well as explore lots of other interesting places like a sci-fi zone, haunted house of music and a pyramid complete with mummies.  There's also a lot of secret stuff that people rarely find.  Click on objects in the world with your mouse to get things to work and see if you will be one of the very few who finds them.

Invite others to join us!

We sometimes recruit others to join our VG.  Like creatures of darkest evil who exist in the shadows, our VG occasionally needs fresh blood to keep itself alive.  Please help out if you can by asking others who are not in a VG if they'd like to join ours.  At least in ours, they'll get a fair shake, get promotions based upon the prestige they earn and their rank in the VG isn't based upon whether or not they're friends with the leaders of the VG.

Log in your alts!

As we invite new members to our VG, we are kicking those who have not logged in the longest, to make room.  If you don't want to be kicked, log in often with the characters you have in our VG.

The enemy may think they are powerful, but the shadows will still overwhelm them!

Announcements:

The Rikti are back!

The frequent Rikti invasions are running again, so if you've yet to get the Watchman accolade, you now have a chance to.  :-)  Put the event messages in your main chat tab to see when they're starting.  If you'd like, create a new tab to use only for event messages so you can refer back to it after an invasion is over in the zone you're in to see where they're still invading.

If you've been getting merits for defeating Rikti in the Rikti War Zone, you will also earn them by defeating the Rikti in the invasions.

If you have a healing power that heals those around you, this is a great time to work on your next healing badge since you can stand in the middle of a group of people and use that power to heal a lot of hit points at one time.  Quite likely far more at once than you could during a mission on even a full team.

On the other hand, if you want to work on your damage badges without getting debt, this is a good time to do it, since there's no debt if you're defeated while in a zone when the Rikti invasion is happening.  Fastest way to get defeated in the zone is to try to attack a Rikti ship.  They'll take you out in 2-3 shots.  After being defeated, go to the hospital, and repeat as needed.  ;-)

CyberWoLfman (and his alts) aren't logging in as much lately

Due to the fact that my wife has recently been diagnosed with cancer, I haven't been playing the game as much lately as I used to, and, will probably be playing even less as time goes on, maybe only a few hours a night, on the nights that I can get on, so, hopefully, the rest of you in the VG can help each other out, and try to keep things going by playing when you can, and recruiting a little, since I won't be able to do that much, anymore.  My apologies, guys, I've always tried to do the best I could for the VG and those I've encountered in the game with help and advice, but now, I'll have to devote more of my time to the woman I love.  Just hope you can understand.

Power-leveling

If you feel you need to be power-leveled please wait until somebody in the VG or coalition chat asks if there's anybody who wants or needs to be power-leveled, or simply team up.  Don't beg people for power-leveling in chats or tells, or you'll likely get put on their ignore list.  On a good team, where you're moving from one fight to the next in very little time, you level fast, since there's more people doing damage and giving buffs as well as healing, and you get salvage and recipes as well, which could be worth millions of Infamy.  Check the Tips on Finding Teams section below for help with finding teams.

New coalition members!

You'll be seeing some new names in the Coalition chat.  Having more active VGs in our coalition will make it easier to find things to do like badge missions, strike forces, respec trials and finding teammates.  Please try to be polite and respectful as these are our partners in crime and we need to work together.  Our side of the coalition chat is open to all in our VG.  This privilege will continue unless it is abused.

Prestige Contest!

The results of the prestige-earning contest are in!  Here are a list of the winners and their prizes:

1st place:  malvin, for making 262,662 prestige during the contest for our VG!  Their prize:  A rare Respec recipe worth millions of Infamy!

2nd place:  Pumi, for making 66,088 prestige during the contest for our VG!  Their prize:  15 million Infamy!

3rd place:  Moonlight Lotus, for making 44,537 prestige during the contest for our VG!  Their prize:  10 million Infamy!

Congratulations, winners, and a big thank you to all who participated in the contest to help out our VG!

Winners: Be sure to send an e-mail to CyberWoLfman to claim your prize!

Using the Black Market:

First off, check to see what the latest selling prices are of the recipes you have at the Black Market and the selling prices of the enhancements they can be made into (make sure you select the correct level and find the correct name of each), then determine if you want to create those enhancements from the recipes you have.

Take into account the cost of the invention salvage you need and how much it'll cost to create this enhancement, usually known as an IO, or Invention Enhancement as well as whether or not there are more bids than there are IOs up for sale on it and if it's selling often.  If it isn't, you may want to just sell the recipes at one of your contacts.  The same goes for any Invention Salvage you have.

Do the following at your own risk!

Look for IOs that are level 35, 40, 45, or 50 that many people are bidding on that sell fairly often and are worth a lot of money and the recipes, the cost of the salvage needed to create them and the amount of infamy you need to do so is relatively cheap.  You can buy all this stuff at the black market, and create the IO at the University or in our VG base at the invention table by the vault, then take the created IO to sell at the Black Market, trying for the average selling price, so it'll sell faster.

Let us determine our own future!

Tips on finding teams!

Looking for a team, but can't find one?  Here's some quick tips:

First off, make sure you're in SG mode.  It'll help out the VG (us!) that's trying to help you.  You can enter SG mode by clicking on the button in the SG window.

Select in the Team Search thing what kind of a team you're looking for such as missions and enter something in the description box.  A good choice of what to put in it is a brief description of what you can offer the team whether it's to be a good meat shield, somebody who can lock down the enemy or heal and/or buff up the teammates.

Use the Broadcast and Request channels to ask others for teams, stating what level and AT you are.

Try the Team Search thing to find other people in need of a team.  Select AT and level range if you want to find a teammate that'll work well with you like a brute to be a meat shield for a mastermind.  If their names are a blueish color, they're currently solo.  If greyed out, they're on a team.  If you're solo, ask them if you can join them if you've chosen a level range to search for near your own.

If you want a better chance of not teaming with a jerk, be sure to check the CoV / City of Villains Blacklist.  When you're teaming in a co-operative zone, check the CoH / City of Heroes Blacklist.
