Help CyberWoLfman and other good causes!

  Hello.  :-)

I am in desperate need of your help.

The cost of living and keeping a Website open has continued to increase, and no matter how much I cut corners to save money, it seems that it's just not enough.  :-(

This site has always tried to help, inform, and entertain people, and I've tried to keep it as ad-free as possible, which is a rarity for a Web site.  Unfortunately, I may have to change that policy, soon.  I fought it as long as I can, even taking odd jobs and doing Web design work for a heck of a lot less than most people would charge, even working for far less than minimum wage in some special cases.  But even this isn't enough.

Sometimes, I have even helped people when it meant risking my life to do so.  Please, if you appreciate the help or information I've provided at all, or want to show your support, so I can continue to do so, please do.

This is not a scam or some attempt to make myself rich.  Only a small number of people have donated anything at all.  It'd be nice to think that some rich person with money burning a hole in their pocket wants to give me some money to help keep me going, but I tend to be realistic.

If you appreciate what I've done, and/or wish to keep the site going, please help me in any way you can.

Even if all you can afford is a dollar or two, it'd be something.

When people are in trouble, they ask for help.  This is my time.  I'm hoping you will help me.  Because so many people visit this site, you may think that others will help me if you don't.  That's also why many people on busy highways are left on the side of the road waiting and hoping that someone will help them.  It seems that almost everyone who goes by believes that someone else will help them, and keeps going.  What ends up happening is that only one out of several thousand people (and it depends on the location, too) will actually try to do something.

  September 26th, 2009:

Since I've started to ask for help with this page, I haven't received many donations, and have only received a couple of donations in the last year.  If you work for Paypal, or have a friend there who could look up account information for you, this is easily verified.

  How you can donate:

You can help by donating with PayPal, which is supposedly secure.  Your donation will probably be anonymous unless you tell me who you are.  As far as I know, it only gives the e-mail address and whatever name you told it to give out.

If you don't have an account with PayPal, and you want to remain anonymous, you can send a dollar or whatever you like wrapped in a couple of pieces of paper (so people can't see it's a dollar inside the envelope) to:

Going to miss the last one I had.  It was the same P.O. Box that the Post Amerikan alternative newspaper used in Bloomington-Normal Illinois for years.  I got some interesting mail sometimes.  LOL  The Post Amerikan newspaper was founded back in 1972, and lasted until 2004, which, I think, made it the longest-lasting alternative newspaper in the United States of America.

  September 26th, 2009:

Okay, just because I'm a history freak, I'll include in the next two paragraphs some information about the years 1972 and 2004.  You can skip them if you get bored.  ;-)

Historical events of 1972: Pioneer 10 launched, the WTC (World Trade Center) is completed, the Goodyear blimp first flew, the last of the American ground troops leave Vietnam, M*A*S*H (or MASH for some, which is an acronym for Mobile Army Surgical Hospital), started on television, Bobby Fiscer of America played chess in Reykjavík, Iceland (he later dies there in 2008) against Boris Spassky of the Soviet Union and became the world's chess champion, US airlines began mandatory inspection of passengers and their baggage, the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) agreement is signed by 46 countries banning biological weapons, the British Army killed 13 unarmed civil rights marchers (seven of them were teenagers) in Northern Ireland in an event later called Bloody Sunday or the Bogside Massacre (U2 later made a protest song in 1983 about it called "Sunday Bloody Sunday"), FBI director J. Edgar Hoover died, the U.S. Navy starts using F-14 fighter planes, five different Oxford colleges finally broke a 750 year ban on admitting women, the movies Deliverance, The Godfather, The Poseidon Adventure, Silent Running, Conquest of the Planet of the Apes, Tales from the Crypt came out, and some of the popular songs for the year 1972 were "Rock and Roll part II" by Gary Glitter , "Lean On Me" by Bill Withers, "Precious and Few" by Climax, "School's Out" by Alice Cooper, "Me and Mrs. Jones" by Billy Paul, "American Pie" by Don McLean, "I Am Woman" by Helen Reddy, "The Candy Man by Sammy Davis, Jr., "Horse With No Name" by America, "Nights In White Satin" by the Moody Blues, "Summer Breeze" by Seals and Crofts, "Alone Again (Naturally) by Gilbert O'Sullivan, "Iron Man" by Black Sabbath, "Changes" by David Bowie, "Heart Of Gold" by Neil Young, "Roundabout" by Yes, "Bang A Gong (Get It On)" by T. Rex, "Hold Your Head Up" by Argent, "Go All The Way" by the Raspberries.

Historical events of 2004: The CIA admitted that there was no imminent threat of weapons of mass distruction before the invasion of Iraq in 2003, South Korea scientists announced they cloned 30 human embryos, the last Oldsmobile was made, mobile phones got banned in North Korea, Ronald Reagan died, there was another transit of Venus (it's when the planet Venus comes between Earth and Sol, AKA 'the sun', and people see a black disk on its surface), SpaceShipOne became the first private spaceship to get into space, the first Ubuntu operating system (a variant of Linux) was released, a 9.3 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Sumatra created huge tsunami waves that killed over 180,000 people, and Taipei 101 in Taiwan opened, some of the 2004 movies that were released and I saw were Shrek 2, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Spider-Man 2, Van Helsing, The Incredibles, The Terminal, Species III, Shaun of the Dead, The Polar Express, National Treasure (had a lot of errors in it, don't get me started on them!  LOL), Kill Bill Vol. 2, I Robot, Hellboy, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, The Grudge, Dawn of the Dead, The Chronicles of Riddick, The Butterfly Effect, The Bourne Supremacy, Blade: Trinity, and Alien vs. Predator.  Some of rock music's top singles for 2004 were: "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" and "American Idiot" by Green Day, "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers, "Take Me Out" by Franz Ferdinand, "Personal Jesus" by Marilyn Manson, and "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" by The Darkness.

Unfortunately, I'm not a charity (even though I do help out a lot of people) so your donation isn't tax-deductible.  It also isn't a loan.  As things stand now, I'm barely able to live so paying people back with money isn't likely to be possible.

What will you get out of it?

#1:  I try to be an honest person.  My reviews of the free computer programs, movies (on the rare occasion when I can afford to go see a movie), et cetera reflect that.  I am not a perfect person, but I've been told that I'm nicer than most and have a kind heart.  At times, I even go so far as to inform people of dangers to themselves and their children even though I risk death to do so.  If you appreciate this, please help.  It'd be nice to know that someone, somewhere, appreciates me trying to keep people safe.

#2:  As money is donated, I will in turn donate equal effort and time to this site, add more helpful pages, take more pictures and put them up, learn how to improve the site's looks and anything else I can do.  You can already see the improvements I've done so far if you compare my older pages to the newer ones.

There are a decreasing number of ad-free sites and an extremely few ad-free .com sites that also don't offer anything for sale.  In fact, I think mine is the only one there is!  LOL  If you want to keep the Internet as free of ads as possible, then please donate something.  Help make a difference on the Internet and lessen the amount of ads on it.

I will at least be giving you something for your donation.  If you want to give to a good cause, then you can help me by donating.  :-)  This is truly a rare opprutunity to donate to a good cause and you can do it very easily.

Please don't give me more than you can afford.  You should come first before a stranger.  If you have a family, think of them first.

Thank you very much for any help you can give, if any.  :-)

To donate in a secure and private manner, please click on the button just below this paragraph.  If you can see it, that is.  Some Web browsers have a problem with it.  And again, thank you.  :-)

If you can't afford to donate anything, it's okay.  :-)  These pages will remain up as long as I can afford to keep them up.

Still feel the need to help, but can't afford to donate anything?  You can tell others about us.  See that page for a way to do it without having to spend any money.

If you've helped me (or even if you haven't) but want to do more than just your good deed for today, please check out these other sites.  If you want to help me, you can return to the top of this page and read how, but the stuff below is far more important, and the 'click to help' things on their pages don't cost you a penny.  :-)

The Hunger Site.  Where you can help feed starving people the world over, by just clicking on a button on their Web page!  :-)

The Rainforest Site.  You can help preserve endangered rainforest the same way.

The Child Health Site.  This site lets you help prevent life-threatening diseases, restore vision to blind children, and enable child amputees to walk.  :-)

The Literacy Site.  Where, with a single click of your mouse, you can help provide books to children to help get them to read more, and you don't have to spend a single penny, it's free!

The Animal Rescue Site.  Here, you can help provide food to a rescued animal in a sanctuary or animal shelter.

If you're thinking that I make money out of the above links, you are mistaken.  But you are welcome to look closely at them, anyway.  Place your mouse over them one at a time, and see the URL (Uniform Resource Locator, which is the address of a Web site) for yourself.  You can also right-click on a link and select "Copy Shortcut" or "Copy Link Location" (depending upon which Web browser you use), then paste it into a text editor (or an e-mail, if you want to send it to somebody!).  They are nothing more than the locations of the Web sites I mention.  I do this because I hope you have enough kindness within your heart to do something good for somebody other than yourself.

And yes, I am a nice guy.  And also one of the last of my kind...
