Quick Intro
If this is your first visit to my Web site, welcome! Some of the latest things that I have been up to or comment about are usually found on my 2014 Blog page.
No more ads! My brief attempt to generate a few dollars to help pay for this Web site with a few ads here and there failed. Not a single penny was earned, so . . . No more ads! Or at least, until I find something that actually works.
Coming soon: More Web pages! A Web page with pictures of the south Florida tattoo expo (it was nice to have met all of you!), a couple of pages with reviews of some renaissance fairs complete with pictures and video, and a few other surprises! And, yes, putting this on my front door page is a way to help me get motivated, because I have been slacking lately. LOL
* Some of you may have noticed that I have changed this front door page because many newer computer monitors can now handle more than 640x480 resolution (the same resolution as analog broadcast (NTSC), that is currently being replaced (by those rich enough to be able to afford it) with HDTV, which is along the lines of 1280×720 and up to 1920×1080), and the background images weren't going all the way over to the other side. However, there are a few people out there who are using mobile devices with lower resolution and the top banner didn't look right on them, so, I thought I would be nice and make it smaller so it would fit better (but, you might want to look into getting a tablet - some are fairly inexpensive but, make certain you get the one that fits your needs such as the kind of connection you want to use with it - with better resolution than your smartphone or pad). Hey, I got something done, at least! ;-) Already thinking of a better way to make this page, so, don't get used to it! LOL But, it's combining some old school Web page stuff (for one thing, the gray background is reminiscent of the older Web pages back in the early 1990s), and some new stuff, as well. Will I make a 'mobile' version of this Web site with no images whatsoever on it? Don't count on it. Sounds too much like the first Web pages with nothing on them but text and not a single picture. If you're using a wireless data plan that limits how much you can download so much that even a few images may put you over your limit, you should seriously consider switching to another provider. Ditto if your connection is so slow that it takes longer than five seconds to download any of my Web pages since none of them have extremely large files on them.

The majority of the latter are based on facts which can be easily verified or from my own personal experiences, like the VidScans (honest movie reviews and honest TV show reviews) page, where I give movie reviews. If you are using micro$haft winblows' internet explorer this page likely won't look right to you. LOL But, if you're using a Web browser that's tied into your operating system like that one is, it's almost guaranteed that you have much bigger probelms than what a Web page looks like! Just think of it this way; how much faith do you have in a company to give you important updates to your operating system when it is years behind on keeping even their Web browser (that almost every single windoze customer uses, and can easily see the errors it makes in Web pages like this one) up to date?
Another reason it might not look right to you is if you're using a better Web browser but have a small screen resolution or you have your fonts set very large (or both), and there's a scroll bar at the bottom. If this is the case, you at least know the cause, and can better deal with it. If an image appears too large, you likely have a small screen resolution, like those on some smart phones, tablets, or
If you're having difficulty reading the text, you can try changing your Web browser's fonts. For an easier to read sans-serif font, Verdana is a fairly good choice. Just remember that text looks a little different if you change fonts, so words may look mis-spelled to you. But, since even professional news journalists can't spell correctly these days, few people may notice your typographical errors . . .
If something else doesn't look right, maybe you should check to see if you have the latest version of your Web browser. Always a good idea to keep up to date with the latest stable release of software. Can I get a "Hell, yes" my nerd brothers and sisters? Hee hee hee If you are running some of the main Linux distributions, you can likely update all (or at least most) of your programs at once, as well as update your operating system using the updater.
